JK is honored to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 37th Annual Leukemia Ball. For the past several years, JK has donated time and vehicles to transport auction items to and from the event location, and we are excited to take part again this year.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has been leading the way in funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient support and services since 1949. The LLS is the world’s largest voluntary, nonprofit health organization dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
This year, the event will be held on May 13 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC and will celebrate the legacy of the Leukemia Ball, as well as its impact on the Washington DC metro area. The event has raised over $70 million for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the LLS since it began in 1988. Initially hosting around 375 guests, the Leukemia Ball as grown to more than 2,000 guests and presents star-studded entertainment that has included Smokey Robinson, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Hootie & the Blowfish, Diana Ross, and many more in recent years.
After hosting virtual events in 2020 and 2021, the celebration was live and in person again in 2022, and the 2023 Ball is gearing up to be an exciting and fun-filled evening. The Ball includes dinner, dancing, inspirational programming, auctions, a car raffle, and headlining entertainment, including comedian and magician Justin Willman and DJ, music producer, and entrepreneur DJ Jazzy Jeff.
We look forward to assisting with this worthwhile event, if even in a small way. Please visit the LLS website to learn more about the exceptional work they are doing.
