As General Manager of JK Moving Services’ Maryland division, Tom Grass is always “Ready to go.” Tom has been with JK for 15 years, and he’s been in the moving industry for 42 years and counting.
Tom joined the JK family after selling the moving company he owned, Thomas AAA Moving & Storage, Inc., to JK, as a result, creating JK’s Maryland division. Establishing the division in Maryland eliminated the time moving crews spent commuting from JK’s headquarters in Sterling, VA. Initially, the office focused solely on household goods moving services, where Tom’s experience and expertise lie. Today, the division has expanded to include two warehouses and commercial moving services in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
“Being the General Manager of JK’s Maryland division is a two-fold career,” explains Tom. “The division’s great operations team can’t be successful without the hard work of the sales team.” Tom’s goal is to finish his career at JK, leaving the Maryland division ready and prepared for continued success.
Hitting the road with Tom Grass
Tom and Debbie, his wife of 36 years, have four children and nine grandchildren together. Above all, spending time with his grandkids is Tom’s most cherished activity. He also loves riding his Harley Davidson and going on long trips with Debbie, his sister, brother-in-law, and other friends.
“I’m always ready for change; I make spontaneous decisions, whether it’s to do something fun, or something necessary,” says Tom. He looks forward to continuing to bring the best moving services to his community and around the world.
