Awards were presented recently at the 26th Annual CARE Awards Breakfast in Tysons Corner, Virginia. During the event, JK CEO Chuck Kuhn spoke on a panel discussion that spotlighted impactful community engagement strategies, including the company’s launch this year of the 150 acre JK Community Farm, a charitable 501(c)3 designed to alleviate hunger by growing crops and livestock and donating them to local food banks. Kuhn noted: “We have employees building a career with us because of what we’re doing in the community.” In fact, employee volunteers contributed to the farm’s first year success by helping harvest 30,000 pounds of produce.
